Why does my wireless network not show up when I try to connect to it during setup?

 

 

Ensure you are using a compatible router, the following is a list of routers which are not compatible with our cameras:

 

Belkin router: N750,AC1200,AC750,N600 extender


Apple router: A1409


Netgear router: netgear wn3000rp

 

Make sure your router is broadcasting in 2.4GHz

 

Imogen Studio cameras will only work with 2.4GHz.  If you are not seeing your wireless network show up as an option, check to see if you router is broadcasting in 5GHz band.  Imogen Studio Cameras are not compatible with 5 GHZ band, and you may have to change the settings on your wireless router to broadcast in 2.4GHz.

 

Check to make sure your network's SSID is not hidden


If your network SSID (network name) is hidden, then Imogen Studio cameras will not be able to  see it when they scan  for available nearby networks. If you know your network's  SSID, you can manually type it in the "Other Networks" field.  You can also change your network SSID to un hidden from your wireless router's settings to prevent this from happening in the future if you don't want to change this manually each time you add a new device. 

If you are still having trouble connecting, check with your router's manufacturer or your internet provider to find out how to to access your router setup utility.
